At Litigoal, we are committed to transparency and predictability in legal expenses. Where possible, we prioritize a fixed-fee model. This means that a fixed legal fee will be charged for a particlar scope of work (i.e. project), whenever possible. This model provides both individual and corporate clients predictability. Additionally, disbursements, expenses and other client costs are discussed in advance, helping our clients to properly budget for the entire process. While fixed fees are impracticable in certain cases, we remain committed to transparency and predictability.
- Initial Consultation: We offer a 30-minute initial consultation meeting with our clients to understand the specific needs and complexities of your case with the goal of giving you enough information to decide whether to proceed.
- Legal Opinions: Where the case is of sufficient complexity, we can provide you with a written legal opinion in order to assist you in making an informed decision on whether and how to proceed. We provide legal opinions on a fixed-fee basis, give you the opportunity for meaningful follow up and questions regarding our advice, and we apply all of that fee to your matter, should you decide to proceed with us.
- Fee Proposal: Our fee proposals clearly set out what we understand to be the factual background of your case, and importantly, your goals with the representation. We also clearly define our scope of work, not only what we will do but what is excluded so you are not surprised by unexpected legal bills. We will always seek your consent before going outside of our fixed-fee scope of work.
- Clear Pricing: A single fee is agreed upon that, where possible, includes the entire scope of work from start to finish, without unnecessary or hidden charges, or hourly rates for work conducted within the original scope of the services.
